SUMAN DATTA, MBA/MS | FOUNDER & CEO
Suman is an experienced healthcare leader with 20 years at major companies like Amgen, Medtronic, and Siemens Healthineers. He is skilled in guiding startups in MedTech and Digital Health. Suman provided consulting services to top MedTech firms while at Capgemini Consulting. He founded Velox as a strategic partner to firms that develop and launch life sciences products. Suman's expertise includes AI/ML, medical devices, biologics, and digital health tools. He has experience in M&A, capital raising, global business development, product development, marketing, and building teams and organizations. Suman earned his graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel and an MBA from UCLA.
JOHN DIERKER | CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
John Dierker, Chief Operating Officer at Velox, served over a decade in uniform as an Intelligence Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard and federal government. He holds a BS from the Coast Guard Academy and an MS from the National Intelligence University. John spearheads go-to-market strategies and drives cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless adoption of AI solutions. Leveraging his experience in technology sales and a commitment to customer success, he fosters lasting client relationships while accelerating revenue growth and market expansion. John lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his family.
Jason is a seasoned financial expert with over 25 years of experience in the industry. As a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA), he is well-versed in US, UK, and international accounting standards. Jason began his journey in public accounting, spending seven years in London where he specialized in external audits. At Velox, Jason is responsible for Accounting Controllership and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), shaping the financial success of the organization.

Leveraging cutting-edge machine learning techniques, advanced analytics, and a deep understanding of AI, they collaborate across disciplines to develop solutions that transform raw data into real-world impacts. Their collective expertise spans natural language processing, data governance, and software engineering, and they ensure our technology remains at the forefront of innovation.

Ross Grossman is a seasoned HR executive with experience at top companies like Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Prudential Financial, and UBS. He played a significant role in Regeneron's growth, where during his tenure the company launched four new drugs, expanded its workforce from a few hundred to over 5,000 employees, and increased its market capitalization from under $1 billion to over $60 billion.
Dr. Grossman holds a B.A. in English from California State University, Fullerton, an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Claremont Graduate University, and an MBA from UCLA. He serves on the Board of Trustees at the Keck Graduate Institute and the Center for Excellence in Education and is a member of the Executive Committees of both boards. Additionally, Dr. Grossman advises small companies, biotech startup CEOs, CHROs, and management teams on strategies for rapid growth. Clients have included IBM, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, PTC Therapeutics, Myovant Sciences, Valo Health, Vaxart, and Legend Biotechnology.

Saumil is a search fund investor based in Seattle with experience in working with dozens of searchers on a variety of deals across industries since 2016. He previously served as a board member for the Gastro Center of Maryland and as a board observer for the Kotter Group and Ascend Software, all acquired through search funds.
Saumil started his career in Boston as a management consultant at Bain & Company and later worked as a private equity investor at Charlesbank Capital Partners. He joined Trilogy Search Partners in 2019 as Vice President and worked to deploy a $75M fund into search fund deals. Saumil graduated summa cum laude from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania with degrees from the Wharton School and the College of Arts and Sciences. He volunteers as a pro bono consultant for minority, veteran and women-owned small businesses and is an avid fan of college basketball and the NBA.

Shakeeb Alam is an investor, entrepreneur, and board member with over 25 years of investing and business experience. Throughout his career, Shakeeb has backed dozens of CEOs and management teams building companies across different sectors of the economy. Shakeeb has significant experience with high-growth healthcare services businesses that are scaling both organically and via acquisitions.
Shakeeb is the Co-Founder and President of East Bridge Capital Management, a Boston-based institutional investment firm that is focused on long-term compounding opportunities. Prior to forming East Bridge, he invested across both public and private markets at Highfields Capital and GTCR. Shakeeb began his professional career as an investment banker in the M&A Group at Bear Stearns.
In addition to his business activities, Shakeeb is actively engaged in his communities. He serves on the board of directors of the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF), the university system’s private foundation. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of UIF’s Investment Committee, which oversees the UIF Investment Office and $2.5 billion endowment.
Shakeeb earned a BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Benoit Berthoux is a tech and life sciences growth leader and investor with a passion for building diverse, high-performing teams and profitable P&Ls. With 20 years in professional services and consulting, he was recently Managing Director at Accenture in charge of the Life Sciences West business (Strategy, Consulting, Technology, AI, Interactive, Outsourcing) where he 10X-ed the business in less than five years. Prior to Accenture, Benoit was a VP at Capgemini Consulting in charge of the Life Sciences NA practice.
In health and life sciences, he has broad experience in leading global strategy and operations projects with Fortune 500 companies with a goal to boost sales, accelerate revenue generation and improve the bottom-line. His expertise covers corporate strategy and transformation (organic and inorganic), innovation, product strategy and lifecycle management, digital transformation, operations (commercial, finance, IT), patient services, managed-care and distribution. His past clients include Roche-Genentech, Gilead, Amgen, McKesson, Novartis, Fortive, Abbott, and J&J.
Benoit now focuses on investing in and developing leading-edge blockchain, AI and future-of-work projects.
